IN THEIR latest league match, Swanage & Wareham hosted Walcot, a team that comes from Bath, and after a frantic first half the game stagnated in the second half.
From the kick off, a break of 50 metres by centre Tom Munns, passed out to full back George Crouch who scored close to the posts.
Matt Spencer added the extras. Once again from the restart the ball came to wing forward Tom Holland, who powered through the Walcot defence to score his first first team for Swans.
Spencer converted 14–0 after just 4 minutes. Walcot received a penalty which took them down into Swans 22, Walcot took a tap, Swans transgressed again but Walcot decided to collect the three points.
From the restart Walcot knocked on Swans put the ball into touch and from a catch/drive move, second row George Slack scored Swans third try, making the score 19–3 after only 10 minutes.
At last the game settled down somewhat, but Swans seemed to be giving away most of the penalties, but the home side continued their open play, but the visitors defence was good.
After 34 minutes a Walcot player was yellow carded for a high tackle, and from the offence Matt Spencer added the 3 points.
From the restart Swans piled forward and Swans number 8 Aisea Kaitu broke clear to score Swans bonus point try. Spencer converted leaving the half time score Swans 29-3 Walcot.
After the first half, most of the second half was a little disappointing with both sides giving away a multitude of penalties, with both teams receiving yellow cards and the game became feisty.
It wasn’t until the 76th minutes that from a scrum 5 metres out from the Walcot line that Swans scrum half Ollie Peters dummied his way over the line for Swans fifth try.
Spencer added the extras, 36–3. In the last minute Walcot had a penalty which took them into Swans 5 metres line and with a final lunge Walcot went over for a penalty try.
There was no time for a restart so the final score was Swans 36-10 Walcot.
