TOM Killick won't be 'blindly loyal' when picking his Dorchester team after another disappointing result at the weekend.

The Magpies boss was speaking in the aftermath of his club's seventh game without victory - a 1-1 draw with local rivals Wimborne.

It is the fifth consecutive draw, after a league defeat to Swindon Supermarine and an FA Trophy defeat to AFC Totton.

Prior to that, the club last won in the Southern League towards the end of October - a 1-0 win over Plymouth Parkway.

With Hungerford next up at the Avenue on Saturday, Killick has admitted it may be time to shake things up selection-wise in order to get a win.

He said: "It is a mental thing but suddenly we are in a position where individual players are not doing well and when you have three or four players like that - it is difficult.

"Then you have to think about giving other players opportunities you can't just be blindly loyal."

The comments from the Magpies boss suggests that some of the club's fringe players could feature.

This might mean more game time for the likes of Luke Roberts, Brendan Holmes and Kyran Samadi who have all been on the fringes of first team football this season.

It appears to be one solution to the club's dip in form and one that Killick hopes will give some of his star players who have been underperforming lately a rest and time to recharge.

He continued: "We need them back playing well, so it is either persevering until they come good or potentially giving others an opportunity and give those who aren't playing well some time out."
