WEYMOUTH 1
TRURO CITY 4
WEYMOUTH continued their winless run of games after losing to high-flying Truro City in the National League South.
Tyler Harvey was too hot to handle for Mark Molesley's side with the striker netting a hattrick as the rain poured down at the Bob Lucas.
Fellow City striker Jaze Kadia had opened the scoring early on and Jake McCarthy rounded off the scoring 13 minutes from time to give the home fans something to cheer about.
The defeat was compounded with the sending off of Charlie Rowan for two yellow cards almost immediately after McCarthy's consolation goal.
Molesley made four changes from the 1-0 defeat to Hornchurch at the weekend with Rowan, Jordan Maguire-Drew, Ben Greenwood and Christie ward coming in for Corey Jordan, Leo Hamblin, Keelan O'Connell and Jaiden Bartolo.
The away side wasted no time in putting themselves in front as Kabia headed home in the sixth minute from a Harvey cross to claim his 11th goal of the campaign.
Weymouth were under a lot of pressure form one of the league's top sides with Christian Oxlade-Chamberlain having the audacity to try a rabona inside the box.
Andy Robinson did manage to fire a shot at Lavercombe 15 minutes in and Maguire Drew found Greenwood tried to play in Greenwood five minutes later but it was Truro who were dominating the game.
The Terras were struggling to cope with Oxlade-Chamberlain's long throws and finally after 24 minutes Harvey was able to take advantage of one and fired home into the bottom-left corner of the net.
Weymouth struggled to keep hold of possession throughout the half and could have found themselves further behind as Kabia and Oxlaide-Chamberlian laid siege to Will Buse's goal.
Molesley was forced to make a change five minutes before half time as Maguire Drew limped off injured with Bartolo coming on in his place.
The terras boss made some tactical tweaks during the break as Keelan O'Connell and Malchi Linton came on but withing minutes of the restart, Truro added a third.
Kabia had got in behind Rowan and into the box and the Terras defender gave the referee no choice but to point to the spot after bringing the forward down.
Harvey stepped up and slotted the ball past Buse and effectively sealing points early in the second half.
With almost an hour played, Harvey completed his hattrick to claim the match ball.
Again the striker linked up with his partner Kabia who unselfishly squared the ball tohis teammate after breaking down the left wing.
Weymouth would claim a consolation as the game approached the final ten minutes as McCarthy headed home inside the box.
Rowan was promptly shown a second yellow for a foul on Kabia seconds after the restart to compound the terras woes as he went for an early bath.
Weymouth: Buse, Brooks, Rowan, Thompson, Greenwood (Hamblin, 69), Bearwish (O’Connell, 45), Robinson, McCarthy, Maguire-Drew (Bortolo, 40), Ward (Linton, 45), Goodship (McQuoid, 62).
