WEYMOUTH booked their place in the third round of the FA Trophy after defeating Weston-super-Mare 3-2 at the Optima Stadium on Saturday.
After knocking Wimborne out of the Dorset Cup in midweek, Mark Molesley's side made it back-to-back wins with a stunning display in Somerset.
Goals from Charlie Rowan, Tom Bearwish and Brandon Goodship made sure of victory just 11 days after drawing with the same side in the National League South.
Will Buse returned in goal and there was a start for Harry Jones in defence and in the absence of Jaiden Bartolo, Goodship led the line again
The Terras stormed into an early two goal lead to stun the Seagulls in the opening 15 minutes.
First Rowan slotted the ball home after Christie Ward had flicked the ball on from a corner in the ninth minute, before skipper Bearwish made it 2-0 four minutes later.
The midfielder broke forward and drove at Max Harris' goal and sent a low shot into the corner of the net.
The Seagulls had chances from Sam Avery, who headed over from a Jordan Bastin free kick, before a Sam Pearson corner had to be cleared off the line.
Weston did pull one back just before the break as Pearson sent a shot towards goal from inside the box.
His effort came back off the post and hit Buse before crossing the line for an unfortunate own goal.
After the break, Weymouth restored their two goal advantage promptly as Goodship fired a shot in from the edge of the box to make it 3-1.
Former Weston man Buse was again having a solid performance between the sticks as he pulled off a fantastic double save just before the hour mark.
First the keeper denied Reuben Reid's header before picking himself up to get in the way of the follow up shot.
With 20 minutes to go the home fans screamed for a penalty as James Dodd appeared to be knocked over in the box but the referee showed no interest in pointing to the spot.
As Weston pushed to get back in the game, Jordan Thompson made a superb clearance after Brandon Bak had rounded Buse with 15 to go.
Weston's perseverance in the second half finally paid off and reduced the deficit to one goal in the 89th minute as Bak tucked the ball away from a Bastin corner
Even with eight minutes of injury it was too little too late though as Molesley's men held firm and secured a brilliant cup win away from home.
