Dorchester 17
Walcot 34
Dorchester fell to another home defeat as Walcot came from behind at Surcouf Park.
A much changed Dorchester settled quickly and Flynn Drummond, playing at scrum half, was first to cross the try line. Callum King added the extras.
A couple of minutes later centre Kieran Fry dived over in the right hand corner before close prop Dave Cottell added try number three.
However this was as good as it got for Dorchester.
Walcot, after sustained pressure on the home try line, forced their way over for their opening try.
Minutes later the visitors added a second try and conversion. Then when the Walcot No 8 crashed over under the posts the successful conversion put the visitors in front.
The second half was fairly even, but with Drummond forced off after a knock to the head, the Dorchester attack lacked its previous fizz.
A Walcot penalty stretched the lead to five points and, despite several chances, Dorchester were unable to score the valuable fourth try. As the match entered the final ten minutes Walcot were able to add two further tries to secure the five points.
