There is a feeling of disappointment amongst the Weymouth players after their 1-1 draw with Weston-super-Mare on Tuesday night.

The Terras were minutes away from beating the high-flying Seagulls as Jaiden Bartolo's 74th minute strike was cancelled out by Reuben Reid's 88th minute equaliser.

However, despite picking up a well deserved point against one of the National League South's in-form teams, Mark Molesley feels his team 'looked good for the win' as they outplayed the Somerset-based club.

He said: "That's the feeling in the camp, it is one of disappointment, but that shows that we played well and looked good for the win.

"But it's an excellent Weston team who were always going to have moments, but I guess we are disappointed we didn't see it out and put the game to bed earlier."

Jordan Maguire-Drew saw a first half free kick bounce back off the cross bar, whilst the forward, along with Keelan O'Connell had chances early in the second half that went begging.

Bartolo's first strike for the club put the Terras in a commanding position, and even though it was not enough to secure all three points, Molesley was proud of his team's performance in another tough away game.

He added: "It was a real positive display, and to have two away games like that, one on an astro turf and one like the other night on a lush grass pitch, the lads embraced that challenge.

"We were unfortunate to not go in to half time ahead, but we got our goal and I am proud of the players.

"You can start to see our patterns of play, and that is coming with the consistency with the line ups and players finding their feet and getting up to speed.

"We can certainly be enthused by our performance but we need to turn the draws into wins as we are under no illusion of the situation we are in.

"We will also need a bit of lady luck and for players to stay fit as we know we can be a good side.

"But getting four points from two games in this league is nothing to be sniffed at."

However, lady luck may not have been on the Terras side when it came to the injury front.

Charlie Rowan was forced off halfway through the first half and Corey Jordan was also hooked after going down injured.

Molesley is hopeful that neither injury is too serious but admits they will need to be assessed over the coming days before knowing if they will be available for the six-pointer with St Albans.

He added: "Both were enforced changes in key areas down the spine of the team, which makes the performance even better.

"It does disjoint you but we did not want to take any unnecessary risk but we will have to wait to see how they will be for the weekend but hopefully the injuries will settle quickly.
