WESTON-SUPER-MARE 1

Reid 88

WEYMOUTH 1

Bartolo 74

WEYMOUTH were denied all three points on their visit to Somerset on Tuesday night as Weston-super-Mare snatched a late equaliser in the National League South.

Jaiden Bartolo put the Terras ahead with a wonderfully curled shot into the top corner before Reuben Reid levelled the scores with just two minutes left on the clock.

The draw means that Mark Molesley's side are now five games unbeaten in the league.

The Terras boss made four changes from the win over Aveley as Ben Greenwood, Josh McQuoid, Euan Pollock and Kellan O'Connell came out of the starting line up for Corey Jordan, Leo Hamblin, Jordan Maguire-Drew and Christie Ward.

There was also a welcome return for Brandon Goodship who made a brief cameo from the bench following a long spell out injured.

With five minutes left of the half Weymouth came agonisingly close to taking the lead as Maguire-Drew sent a freekick crashing onto the underside of the bar, but the ball bounced out to safety and was cleared away.

After the break, Weymouth came out the stronger of the two sides and another Maguire-Drew set piece caused havoc.

The forward's free kick found O'Connell but the Terras winger could only volley over.

Maguire-Drew then rifled in a shot from 25 yards which was well saved by Harris before the hosts were forced to clear the ball off the line from the resulting corner.

Next it was O'Connell to try his luck from outside the box but his shot flashed just past the post.

Maguire-Drew then curled an effort wide from 20 yards as the Terras peppered Weston's goal in the opening 15 minutes of the half.

With just over an hour played Dylan Kadji appeared to be brought down in the box for the hosts but the referee showed no interest in pointing to the spot.

The Gibraltan international picked up the ball about 25 yards out and let fly into Harris' top right corner, clipping the bar on its way in.

With time running out, it looked like Molesley's side would get their first back-to-back wins of the season, but Reid was on hand to latch on to a Kadji through ball to slot home past Will Buse - who had had a quiet night in the Terras goal.
