Terras boss Mark Moseley said his side will take the character and fight from last week’s late comeback into their clash this weekend.
Weymouth will travel to Essex to face Aveley in the National League South.
Weymouth have drawn their last three games 1-1, with Jordan Thompson’s last gasp equaliser against high-flying Farnborough a massive boost to the Terras, who still remain bottom of the league with seven points in 13 games.
The Terras have the chance to leapfrog Saturday’s visitors with a win, and lift themselves off the bottom of the table for the first time this season.
Aveley are languishing in twenty-third place, just a point ahead of Weymouth, and have lost four out of the last five games in the league.
Speaking ahead of the game, Moseley said that his side will take the positives from the last three games but said that this will be a different kind of contest.
He said: “In this league, every game is a different challenge, and each team has their own unique style, different budgets.
“We’re two teams at the bottom and we both need a win which gives the game that added spice and pressure.
“We will continue to take the fight to them, and show the character that we have seen in the last three matches. We have had that consistency in squad selection and lineups which really shows the groups ‘never say die’ attributes.
“We’re growing as a team, and we know that a win is vital. We had a positive performance last week and had to be on our best.”
The game will kick off at the Parkside Stadium at 3pm today.
