The FA Trophy returns this weekend as Dorchester Town travel to AFC Totton later today.

Tom Killick's side travel to Hampshire in the first round proper of the competition, but the Magpies boss has warned against getting 'carried away' after defeating the Stags earlier this season.

Totton visited the Avenue in September and lost 3-2 as Killick's team inflicted the first defeat of the season for the Hampshire-based club.

Speaking ahead of the cup clash, Killick said: "They will feel like they learned lessons and feel they did not play well on the day.

"You just have to look at the calibre of players they have.

"Their recruitment is ongoing and that is a sign of a team that want to further improve and is probably what sets them apart.

"We can't get carried away after we beat them though, it would be foolish.

He added: "It is a mammoth task, but these are the types of games you want to play in, but we will have to be good in and out of possession and we will have to have a really sharp focus.

"We have to be positive about it and I feel we have got a strong enough squad to compete with anybody."

Killick has spoken before about wanting the club to go deep into the cups this season and has previously vented his frustration at how the club were knocked out of the FA Cup.

The Magpies boss admitted that when he was at Poole Town, going deep into cup competitions and fixture pile ups due to postponements where something that he had to consider.

However, due to the Magpies having a 4G pitch, Killick has said that the with no games at risk of postponement, going far into these tournaments is only positive.

He said: "What I've noticed since being at the club, is that playing on a 4G pitch, fixture back logs are much reduced.

""Postponements can cause problems if you go deep into the cups, it happened to me at Poole, so there are no obvious negatives going deep in the competitions.

"And that is what we want to do in both the Dorset Senior Cup and the FA Trophy, so there are only positives."

Killick will have a full squad to pick from for the clash with Totton today with Will Spetch expected to recover from an illness that saw him miss out midweek with the 1-0 win over Plymouth.

One player who will not be involved though is left-back Harry Hutchinson.

The defender sealed a one month loan deal to fellow Southern League side Winchester on Thursday.

Kick off at The Snows Stadium is at 3pm on Saturday, October 26.
