MARK Molesley has praised the club's latest signing after making a 'fantastic debut' in the 1-1 draw with Chesham United.

Jaiden Bartolo joined the Terras on loan from Wycombe Wanderers over the weekend and has already impressed his new boss.

The 18-year-old Gibraltan international came straight into the starting line up and played alongside his Chairboys teammate Christie Ward.

The young striker is blessed with pace, something the Terras have lacked up front since Mal Linton's injury.

Speaking about Bartolo's debut, Molesley said: "I think he showed everything he could bring to our squad.

"I thought it was a fantastic debut, he was a real threat and a real danger which meant we had a real counter threat as well as a threat when we were building up.

"I think it is really nice to have that pace since M(got injured).

"We had that for a few games when Mal was here, but to have that pace and the way we can spring with that was a real asset, we've really missed that.

"I thought it was a fantastic debut, full of running and heart and a constant thorn in their side and was causing lots of problems."

Weymouth have struggled to find the back of the net this season and the arrival of Bartolo may help the team find more goals.

Although, Molesley admitted the Chesham game was another 'deja vu' moment as they struggled to find the back of the net.

He added: "We've created enough chances and had enough moments, unfortunately we haven't taken the three points -it's the story of our season.
