Came Down Golf Club's men’s Masters champion has been crowned.
The championship was contested by the winners of trophies, medal and stableford competitions throughout the year, from October 2023.
On the day, clear skies masked a very difficult stiffening breeze in what was a closely fought contest.
However, this did not deter Dave Wittingham, who scored an impressive 22 points on the front nine, and steadily amassed 17 on the back for a total of 39 points to take the title.
Runner-up was Keith Fisher with 38, and third place went to Mark Osborne with 37 points and a count back with Ian Dufall taking fourth from Declan O’Toole on 35.
Following the day's competition, a celebratory evening and dinner followed with the annual presentations to all trophy and competition winners.
A spokesperson for the club said: "Lifting the trophy and this year’s Masters champion is Dave Wittingham.
"Congratulations to Dave and to everyone who qualified and our thanks go to the bar and kitchen staff who looked after us so royally."
Wittingham was presented his trophy by last year's winner O'Toole.
