DORCHESTER Town manager Tom Killick says he has a selection 'headache' when Hanwell Town visit the Avenue on Saturday.

The Magpies are in a rich vein of form, having not lost since August and are now well positioned in the Southern League Premier South table as they occupy the final playoff spot.

Two of the reasons for the club's success over the past month and a half can be put down to squad depth and lack of injuries.

With a fully fit squad for the weekend's game, Magpies boss Tom Killick has admitted he is not looking forward to leaving players out of his matchday squad.

Speaking ahead of the game with Hanwell, he said: "At the moment I have a bit of a headache, I left three players out of the squad against Sholing, with Kyran Samadi, Brendan Holmes and Harry Hutchinson all missing out - so the squad is looking powerful.

"It's not easy to leave people out.

"I have been doing this job for years and it never gets easier or more palatable, it is difficult for me, but it's healthy for the club to have that strength.

"It does mean there are more decisions for me about who is in and who is out of the squad come Saturday.

"But to have that calibre of player on the bench and out of the squad is really healthy."

After the dominant second half display against Sholing in midweek, it means the club are now six games unbeaten - with includes four league wins.

However, despite the club's good run and healthy league position, Killick is only focused on what lies ahead.

He added: "If you look at the results so far, we have done reasonably well, but you could look back and feel you could have got more.

"But the minute you start looking back, and start to feel pleased with yourself, that's when it unravels.

"You can loose your focus and become soft, so we have to have the same approach with what is in front of us.

"That's important, because the minute you start looking at the table you can loose focus so we just need to keep pushing."

With that attitude in mind, Killick is not reading too much into Hanwell's recent form when they visit the Avenue on Saturday.

The Magpies boss added: "The minute you start trying to attach importance to the league position and form, your focus can suffer.

"We will get as much information as possible on them and concentrate on getting a good result.

"We must not loose our approach of being ferocious and energetic."

Kick off at the Avenue is at 3pm on Saturday, October 19.
