PORTLAND United are set to welcome back in form striker Greg Borthwick this weekend.

The Blues travel to the Isle of Wight to face Cowes Sports on Saturday and will be able to call on their leading frontman.

Borthwick has scored 14 goals this season and missed the club's 3-0 Dorset Senior Cup defeat to Weymouth in midweek.

It came after the striker was pulled off early in the second half against Hamble last weekend before the Blues threw away a two-goal lead.

Speaking ahead of the tie, Blues joint boss Josh Hickman said: "Greg should be fine, we did not want to risk him against Weymouth, so he will be back."

Cowes form has also picked up of late, and the Yachtsmen and are unbeaten in their last three games, including an impressive 3-2 win away at AFc Stoneham.

Hickman added: "It's going to be an extremely tough game.

"There results have picked up - especially their recent impressive result against Stoneham.

"It will be a long day and we will have to leave early, so all that adds up to it.

"But we know what to expect."

Hickman also confirmed that Freddie Beale will return after playing for Eastleigh in the FA Youth Cup in midweek and that Jacob Coombes will 'hopefully' return from illness.
