DORCHESTER Town manager Tom Killick has said 'it was all good' after his side thumped Sholing 5-1 in the Southern League on Tuesday.

The Magpies boss was pleased with how is team reacted after 'letting points slip' against Marlow at the weekend.

Speaking after the game, he said:"It was all good. We had a lot of frustration from Saturday and we knew there was pressure to win the game as we had let points slip at Marlow.

"But we knew we were going to be up against a good team, so get a result like that was very pleasing."

The game was evenly poised at the half time interval after Ollie Haste's fourth minute opener was cancelled out five minutes before the break by Dan Fitchett.

The Magpies had come under some intense pressure as the first half wore on and the interval came at just the right time.

After a few tweaks during the break, Dorchester came out with a real intent and scored three goals in ten minutes from the restart.

Olaf Koszela grabbed two goals either side of a Luke Pardoe diving header as the Magpies stunned the home crowd at the Mortgage Decisions Stadium in Southampton.

The shift in momentum was something that really pleased Killick as the players were able to reset and take onboard the half time instructions to devastating effect.

Killick added: "We started the game the better of the two teams, but in the second half of the first half, they caused us a lot of problems and where on top.

"So we changed some things at half time, and full credit to the players as they turned the whole thing around and came out in the second half powerfully and then it was always difficult for them to come back.

"It was a really good effort from the players after being under the cosh to galvanise themselves so they deserve the credit for that."
