DORCHESTER Town lifted themselves up into the playoff positions after a resounding 5-1 win over Sholing

The trip into Hampshire on a wet Tuesday night (October 15) proved fruitful for the Magpies as Olaf Koszela stole the show with a hattrick.

Ollie Haste had put the Magpies infront early on before Sholing equalised just before half time in what a fairly even first half.

However, ten blistering minutes after the restart saw Koszela grabbed two quick goals either side of a Luke Pardoe header to put Tom Killick's side in a commanding 4-1 lead.

Koszela then rounded off the scoring late in the game to claim the match ball.

Killick made two changes from the weekend draw with Marlow as captain Jordan Ngalo and Wes Fogden both come into the starting 11.

The Magpies got off to a flying start when Corby Moore's cross was met by the head of Haste in the fourth minute to put the visitors into an early lead.

Sholing were then denied a penalty after a good passage of play between Fitchett and Chiedozie allowed Stedman in on goal, and despite being tripped in the box, the referee was not interested and allowed play to continue, much to the dismay of the home supporters.

Sholing grew into the game after some early Dorchester dominance but were dealt a blow when Jacob Gardiner-Smith went done with a knee injury and had to be stretchered off.

With half time approaching, the Boatmen would get a deserved equaliser as Fitchett poked home from a corner after Gerard Benfield dropped the ball from a corner.

The home side almost took the lead immediately after as Gunson played in Chiedozie , but his effort curled narrowly wide of the post.

Fogden then saw a long range effort come crashing off the bar prior to the ref blowing for half time.

After the break, Dorchester stunned the home side with three goals in ten minutes.

The first, a stunning 30 yard screamer form Koszela, then a diving header from Pardoe, before Koszela made it 4-1 after some good play by Fogden and Ngalo down the right flank, Koszela was on hand to smash home.

With Dorchester firmly in control of the tie, the closest Sholing came was a Gunson free kick in the 83rd minute which flashed post Benfield's post.

With a couple minutes left, Koszela completed his hattrick as he rounded Ross Warner to slot home.
