YOUNG anglers took part in the latest round of the Dorchester District Angling Society Junior Championships last weekend.
Charlottes Lake at Harbourbridge Fishery in Chickerell was the scene for the tenth round of the junior championship.
The fishing was unaffected by cooler temperatures and overcast skies, however, the colder temperatures saw the numbers of anglers dwindle.
With only seven juniors participating, each angler had more than enough room to cast their lines.
Being a Silverfish only match, none of the usual Carp would be counted.
Top weight and top angler on the day was Jack Copp with 21lbs 9ozs of shimmering Roach and Rudd, second place was an ever-consistent Alec Campbell with 16lbs 2ozs, and closely behind in third place was a much-improved Josh Roe, weighing in with 15lbs 4ozs.
With 75 points still on the table and only 22-points separating the top two, all
is still to play for with three rounds to go.
