MARLOW 2

Samuels 38, Nawaf 67

DORCHESTER 2

Gwengwe 20, Moore 54

TEN men Dorchester threw away two leads as they shared the spoils with Southern League Premier bottom side Marlow.

Shaquille Gwengwe put Tom Killick's side ahead half way through the first half, but a Charlie Samuel free kick not long before half time saw the teams level at the break.

Corby Moore restored the Magpies lead nine minutes into the second half, just before Gwengwe was dismissed for a second bookable offence.

Marlow were level within five minutes of the sending off and Dorchester returned to Dorset with just a point.

Killick made eight changes from the Dorset Senior Cup win over Bridport in midweek, as Gerard Benfield returned in goal and Olaf Koszela, Jack Dickson and Shaq Gwengwe came back into the starting 11.

The Magpies started brightly with plenty of chances in the opening exchanges. Daws fired straight at Aaron Watkins in the Marlow goal before playing in Matt Buse who sent his effort wide.

Gwengwe then had the ball in the back of the net after slotting home from a Luke Pardoe cross, but the linesman's flag denied the striker in a busy opening ten minutes.

In the 20th minute Gwengwe would get the opening goal, as he tapped in from close range, after Daws shot was met by the striker.

Marlow would level things up though in the 38th minute though, as Charlie Samuel found the back of the net with a direct free kick.

Koszela came close to restoring Dorchester's lead a few minutes later but was denied by Watkins, who tipped the ball over the bar, meaning the teams went into the break all square.

Dorchester restored their lead within ten minutes of the restart after a brilliant long range strike from Corby Moore bulged the back of the net.

Marlow looked to respond immediately but Josh Boorn fired wide of Benfield's goal.

Then, Dorchester were reduced to ten men in the 62nd minute after Gwengwe received a second yellow card and headed for an early bath.

Within five minutes of the sending off Dorchester's afternoon got worse as Naheer Nawaf slotted the ball past Benfield.

Magpies skipper Jordan Ngalo came off the bench for his first league appearance since serving a three match ban himself and instantly looked to influence the game.

First he played in Pardoe, only for the winger to see his shot saved and then Ngalo fired a shot of his own over the bar deep into added time.

The draw means Dorchester remain sixth in the Southern League Premier South table and missed out on the chance to go fourth.
