DORCHRSTER Town have appointed one of their former players to the role of commercial and events manager.
Ex-Magpies keeper Simon Evans has taken up the role with the club having previously played for the club between 2006 and 2011, in two different spells.
He also had a stint as reserve team manager during the 2015/16 and originally started his playing career at Weymouth.
A club statement on the appointment said: "We are delighted to announce Simon Evans has been appointed as our new commercial and events manager.
"The former Magpies keeper will be a familiar face to many supporters having previously made a number of appearances for the club as our No 1 between 2006 to 2011, as well as a spell as reserve team manager in 2015/16.
"Simon recently relocated back to the area having run his own successful business in Somerset for a number of years and has already started work at The Avenue last week.
"You can get in touch with Simon by email at commercial@dorchestertownfc.co.uk or by direct message on any of our social media pages.
"Welcome back to the club Simon."
