New Dorchester winger Marcus Daws has said the club can 'kick on' after progressing into the quarter finals of the Dorset Senior Cup.
Daws re-joined the Magpies earlier this month after leaving AFC Totton and has hit the ground running.
He grabbed his first goal in the cup win over Bridport on Tuesday night as he slotted home an 89th minute penalty
The 20-year-old was making his first start for the club, in his second spell at The Avenue, and was happy for the minutes on the pitch as he looks to build his fitness up.
Speaking on the club's X (formerly Twitter) account, he said: "It's good to be back, I have not played too many games lately, so just getting some minutes in the cup match is good, obviously we can prepare for the league now.
"They (Bridport) challenged us at times and when it went 3-2, it was a little tricky at the end, but we got the penalty.
He added: "Hopefully now we can kick on and do well this year."
