DORCHESTER boss Tom Killick is not taking anything for granted when his side come up against the league's bottom side this weekend.

The Magpies travel to Buckinghamshire on Saturday to take on Marlow who sit at the foot of the Southern League Premier South table.

The Blues have yet to win this season and have lost seven of their nine games.

However, Killick is under no illusion that the game will be easy and has pointed to the league being extremely competitive from top to bottom.

Speaking ahead of Saturday's game, the Magpies boss said: "The one thing we have learned about this league over the last couple of games is that the gap between the bottom and top teams is only marginal.

"We have seen Marlow's game against Havant & Waterlooville and it was closer than the scoreline suggested.

"You under estimate games like these at your peril."

The Magpies will be full of confidence heading into the game though, having not lost since August when they were unceremoniously dumped out of the FA Cup to Banbury.

Since then, there have been league wins against Frome, AFC Totton and Chertsey as well as a penalty shoot out win over Tiverton in the FA Trophy last weekend, and the 4-2 win over Bridport in the Dorset Senior Cup on Tuesday.

The good run of form has left the club in a decent position in the table as they sit a point of the playoff places in sixth.

A win against Marlow could see the Magpies jump to third place depending on results elsewhere.

Killick has also said that the midweek tie with Bridport was 'well timed' as the Magpies boss was able to give players who needed match fitness some much needed minutes.

It means that there is a fully fit squad to pick from with Will Spetch the only doubt for the weekend's trip to Marlow.

Spetch was brought off in the win over Bridport as 'a precaution' and Killick is hopeful the defender will be available for Saturday's game and that it is nothing serious.

Other than that, 'everyone else is available' according to the Dorchester coach heading into the weekend.

It means that captain Jordan Ngalo is likely to return to the starting lineup having played in midweek after completing his three match ban.

The club's latest signing Marcus Daws is also likely to feature again having made his first start for the club against Bridport, getting himself on the scoresheet in the process as well.

Top goal scorer Olaf Koszela is also likely to return after being rested for the midweek game.

Kick off at the Alfred Davis Memorial Ground is at 3pm on Saturday, October 12.
