SIX young anglers battled it out in the latest Dorchester District Angling Society Junior Championship on Saturday.
The latest round of the competition was held on Trendals Lake at Revels Fishery
It was moved from the River Stour due to flooding, and the first proper frost of the year certainly affected the fishing for the six participants, as bites were hard to come by.
By the end, a few had found some willing fish, but the one who found the
most was Austin Scott-Kennedy who managed to tempt some Carp to weigh
10lbs 12ozs for the win.
In second place was Josh Roe who caught some early Carp to weigh 4lbs, and Mia Evans managed her first podium place in third with 1lb 4ozs.
It means that after eight matches, Scott-Kennedy leads the championship with a total weight of 184 points.
The next Junior event is at Harbour Bridge Lakes in Chickerell on Saturday, March 12
