Week four of the South & West Dorset Netball League saw a change at the bottom of the Premier Division as McCarthy Stone beat Wagamama's.

A strong start from both teams saw accurate shooting, but McCarthy went ahead helped by their C Martha Usher, who kept the ball moving swiftly through the court.

McCarthy stayed ahead throughout the first quarter with great feeds into the circle from their WA Fran Gray. 

Wagamamas remained positive and kept fighting with some good interceptions from their GK Laura Pearson, turning over the ball leading to goals for Wagamama's. 

McCarthy held on despite Wagamamas fighting back.  

Both teams fought for the win with great pace and accuracy but it was McCarthy Stone who made sure they created the space and opportunities for their players and were rewarded with the win

Evolve 31

In division one, Evolve set a punishing pace with a quick first goal, but  Warriors fought back matching their opponents energy on court to pull level. 

An injury to Evolve’s C Beth Gore saw a quick substitution but both teams’ attack and defence worked hard and the score was tight at the end of the quarter.

Warriors made a substitution with Kelly Browne introduced in to the shooting circle working well with GS Willow Charlton. 

Evolve’s GK Charlotte Pantry and GD Bex Hedditch worked tirelessly to intercept and deliver the ball back up the court to their shooters.  However, it was Warriors that kept the lead.

 Evolve’s WA Lulu Gale worked tirelessly to intercept balls and fed  the shooters who impressed with their goals. 

Warriors started the final quarter strong with a quick goal, and in a quarter dominated with fast passes and interceptions from both teams, it was Warriors who edged ahead and took the win

Warmer B 43

In Division Two, both teams started on an equal level with Dream’s WD Kath Brailsford making many interceptions. 

Warmer started to pull ahead but Dream fought back with good shooting from their GS Bekii Oliphant with the sdies level at the end of the first quarter.

Dream’s Kath Brailsford move to GD and made some cracking interceptions, but Warmer pulled ahead by half time.

The final quarter saw both teams come out fighting.

Some amazing playing from Warmer’s WA Ellie Savage helped her team extend their lead and despite a great fight back from Dream it was Warmer who took the lead

The Waterloo 53 v Kooky Bloom 31

Elsewhere in Division Two, there was a s strong start from both teams resulting in some good interceptions.  Waterloo’s GS Lauren Mead made some long shots from the edge of the D, whilst  Kooky’s shooters worked well together in the D, but it was Waterloo who had a two goal lead at the end of the first quarter

Some amazing shooting from Kooky’s GS Jaz Franklin added to their score but Waterloo fed their shooters well to keep the lead. 

Waterloo’s C Helen Moore made some great feeds into the D which extended their lead, whilst Waterloo’s defence worked well and saw them take the win.
