WEYMOUTH goalkeeper Will Buse says that playing for the club is like 'playing with your mates'.

The young keeper joined the club in September on a month long loan from local rivals Yeovil after Billy Terrell got injured.

Since his arrival, Buse has put in a string of good performances for the club and has been speaking to the club's media team ahead of the trip to Enfield today (October 5).

In an interview posted to the club's website, Buse revealed how easy it has been to settle in at the club.

He said: "The lads welcomed me in from day one; I’ve already played with a few of the lads, which has helped me settle in, and I knew Brooklyn (Genesini) from school.

"It’s been enjoyable going into a changing room seeing people I already know. It’s just like playing football with your mates."

When asked about how the team has been performing this season, he added: "It’s just the result of a couple of unlucky losses, but our form is picking up and we are heading up the table.

To us, any noise from outside the team is white noise.

"We know some of the results haven’t been good enough, but we’re turning things around and getting stronger.

"Mark has created the togetherness in the squad. It’s very tight-knit, and we’re all in the same boat, trying to put our results right."

Buse also revealed that keeping a clean sheet is like 'scoring a goal' for him and that the team will pick up more points if he can keep doing his job.

He added: "My job is to keep getting clean sheets, or at least concede as little as possible while the strikers will do the business at the other end, and then the points will start flowing.

"Knowing that you and your defenders can walk off the pitch having not conceded, there’s no better feeling.

"We’ve done our job. I’ve already kept another four this season for Weston-Super-Mare; I think that simply comes down to enjoying my football."
