DORCHESTER Town manager Tom Killick says he has 'really enjoyed' his first year in charge of the club.
The Magpies boss took over at The Avenue on the September 29 last year, after he became a free agent following his sacking from Poole Town.
He had enjoyed a 19 year spell with the Dolphins, taking charge of the club almost 1,000 time, bringing them up the divisions, before returning to the club he played at in the 1990s.
Killick has taken charge of 40 Southern League games since joining the Magpies, with a game a piece in the FA Cup and FA Trophy.
His first game was an FA Trophy third qualifying game against Merthyr on October 7 , which Dorchester lost 3-1.
In fitting fashion, Killick's first game after the year anniversary will be another FA Trophy tie, this time away to Tiverton later today.
FA Trophy preview: Tiverton Town vs Dorchester Town:
The former Poole Town manager has spoken about what this year last has been like for him personally.
He said: "From my own point of view, I've really enjoyed it.
"Being at Poole for so long, I was worried how things were going to be, Dorchester is only the second club I have managed, so it was a bit of an unknown.
"It's exceeded expectations though, what the people here are like, those who run the club, the volunteers, the supporters and the players have all been so welcoming and I am really enjoying it."
When it comes to how the team have performed over the last year, Killick still believes the club can keep growing, and is trying to give supporters 'more reasons' to turn up at the Avenue on a weekly basis.
Last season, the team fought back from 20th in the table to reach ninth place, and so far this season, they are amongst the team's fighting for play off spots at the top of the table - even if it is still early on in the campaign.

Killick added: "Performance wise we were strong at the end of last season, and this season we have started reasonably well.
"There is more to do but we are heading in the right direction.
"There is a good feeling around the club and and people are enjoying how things are and that is massive for me.
"It is not just about the results, but how the club is and people enjoying coming to games, and I hope there will be more reasons for them to come."
