DORCHESTER Town are back in action this weekend after a week off with the players 'ready and reinvigorated' as they travel to Tiverton in the FA Trophy.
The Magpies have not played since Saturday, September 21, when they defeated Chertsey Town 3-1 at the Avenue, and will take on the Devon-based club in the third qualifying round of the competition on Saturday.
However, despite the players taking a break, Magpies boss Tom Killick has said it was 'not ideal' with the club in full swing after three home wins on the bounce.
He said: "The players will hopefully comeback ready and reinvigorated but the timing wasn't amazing.
"We had decent momentum and we didn't have any players nursing injuries which is what you want when you have these breaks, so not playing was not ideal.
"But, you have to use it to your advantage and I think we have done that and we can come back firing."
With Dorchester out of the FA Cup, Killick knows that a victory on Saturday is crucial for the club if they hope to generate extra funds for the club via a good cup run.
A win for the Magpies would see them receive £2,450, with a guarantee of at least another £775 in the first round proper.
A run to the final would see the team earn £77,450 and winning the tournament would earn the club a whopping £107,450.
He said: "Tiverton are never going to make it easy and everyone one in the league, especially club's like us, the FA Trophy is the only revenue stream left in terms of a cup, and Tiverton will have the same mindset.
"It is desperately important to create revenue and excitement at the club.
"But having failed miserably in the FA Cup, we will salvage what we can in the FA Trophy."
The weekend trip to Devon will be the second time the Magpies have travelled to the Ian Moorcroft Stadium, with the two sides meeting earlier this season in the Southern League.
On that occasion, the Magpies were held to a 1-1 draw, although, Killick has said the team 'should have won the game'.
With Olaf Koszela in fine form in front of goal, and players such as Shaq Gwengwe and Wayne Robinson also amongst the goals in recent games, the Magpies will be hoping to make it into Monday's first round draw.
The team is also boosted by the fact that there are no injury concerns, with just Harry Redknapp Jnr the only player on the long term injury list.
However, Killick will be without captain Jordan Ngalo who will serve the final of his three game ban after being sent off against Frome.
Killick added: "The weekend off has prolonged Jordan's suspension and it will be good he can get the last game done and dusted.
"It is a shame for him but he will come in for the Dorset Cup game against Bridport on Tuesday.
"Other than that everyone is fit and ready."
Kick off at the Ian Moorcroft Stadium is at 3pm on Saturday, October 5.
