Elsewhere in the division Blandford steamrolled Cobham Sports 5-1 at home, leaving the Royals two points behind the Merley Park- based team with 16 points in sixth place.
Weymouth-based Balti Sports continued their slip down the league and were defeated 3-0 at home to Holt United and now sit 12th.
Portland Reserves were well beaten away to Hamworthy Recreation Reserves 6-2, and Bridport Reserves lost at home to Hamworthy United Reserves 3-1, giving the Poole-based club their first win of the campaign.
The final game of the weekend saw Poole Borough lose at home to Sherborne Town 2-1.
