WEYMOUTH secured their place in the next round of the FA Cup after a comfortable 3-0 win over Winchester on Tuesday night.

Ezio Touray was too hot to handle for the Southern League side as he grabbed his second goal in as many games, either side of strikes from Keelan O'Connell and Brooklyn Genesini.

The win now means Mark Molesey's side face Forest Green Rovers in the fourth qualifying round.

Molesley made several changes to his starting line up from the weekend, with Genesini, Harry Jones,Touray and O'Connell all starting from the off.

Weymouth started the match with real intent, and it was one of Saturday's heroes, Touray, who almost opened the scoring with two chances early on.

Genesini came close himself with an effort fired into the side on 17 minutes before Winchester were denied by the upright, after Tommy Wright weaved through a couple of Terras' defenders before getting his shot off.

As the teams got back underway in the second half, Charlie Rowan forced Luke Cairney into a good save as he pushed the midfielder's effort over the bar.

Weymouth doubled their lead and took a step closer to securing the win as Touray finished well from a Terras counter attack to make it 2-0.

Winchester were still looking to get back in to the game, but Weymouth's defence was limiting the away side to shots from distance.

Will Buse made his first save of the game in the 74th minute as Weymouth controlled the game.

With 83 minutes on the clock, Weymouth sealed the win with a third, as Genesini marked his return to the starting line up with a neat finish to set up a fourth qualifying round tie with Forest Green Rovers.

The Terras will travel to the National League side on Saturday, October 12 in a 3pm kick off.

However, next up for Molesley's men is a trip to Enfield in the National League South on Saturday (October 5).
