Greg Borthwick scored a stunning hattrick as Portland United continued their rich vein of form in the Wessex League.
The Blues striker was in lethal form at the Camp & Satherley on Saturday afternoon as he helped his side move into fifth place in the table.
An early penalty had given the home side the lead before Sam Lanaham levelled things up in what was a fairly even first half.
Borthwick would grabb two more goals after the break as the Blues made it three wins from four as new managers Shaun Bessant and Josh Hickman's continued their great start in charge of the side.
The Blues came out firing and found themselves ahead within the opening few minutes.
A great ball over the top from Jack Delves was picked up by Borthwick but the striker was tripped by the Robins keeper allowing the referee to blow for a penalty.
Borthwick tucked away the penalty to give the Blues an early 1-0 lead.
Moments later Downton look for an instant reply but a last ditch tackle from George Stuttle kept the Blues in front.
The next chance to the BLues in the 23rd minute as Koe Wickham drove with the ball from midfield before finding Borthwick who crossed for Pat Jenkins, bu the striker's effort sailed over the bar.
Downton equalised in the 34th minute thanks to Lanaham tucking away the ball after a goal mouth scramble from a Downton corner.
Jacob Coombs came off the bench at half time for Wickham and was immediately into the action.
The midfielder played a wonderful ball through to Borthwick who finished in style as the Blues retook the lead minutes after the restart.
Borthwick sealed his hattrick just after the hour mark as he pounced on a loose ball to slot home past the Robins keeper and give the Blues some breathing space.
With Portland in control of the scoreline there were few chances left in the game and it finished 3-1.
