Dorchester Town made it three wins from three as Tom Killick's side beat Chertsey Town at the Avenue in the Southern League.

William Montague pulled on back for the visitors with 15 minutes to go minutes after one of their defenders was sent off for a Challenge on Wayne Robinson.

Killick made one change from the 3-2 win over AFC Totton last weekend as Harry Hutchinson came in for Ollie Haste in defence. who was suffering with an illness.

Wes Fogden returned to the matchday squad after recovering from a slight knock with a spot on the bench.

Dorchester started well with early chances coming from Koszela Luke Pardoe as the home side went in search of a third consecutive home win.

With 22 minutes played the Magpies took a deserved lead after Koszela calmy slotted home fromt he penalty spot.

The in form striker almost added a second ten minutes later but was denied by the crossbar after getting his head to a Corby Morre corner.

With half time approaching, Kozela would double his and Dorchester's tally for the day as cut in from the left wing and firing home from a tight angle.

Gerard Benfield was called into action early in the second half to deny the visitors a route back in to the game and kept the scores at 2-0.

After almost an hour Gwengwe would extend the Magpies lead after the striker latched on to a cross from Robinson to tuck away the ball from close range.

Kyran Samadi came off the bench and almost made an immediate impact as a shot from outside the box forced a save from the Chertsey goalkeeper.

In the 73rd minute Robinson was brought down when through on goal leaving Chertsey down to ten man as one of their centre-backs put in a late challenge on the striker.

Chertsey found a consolation a few minutes later through Montague, but the away side never looked like threatening the result.

Samadi would go close with a couple more efforts before the final whistle but the score remained 3-1 and the Magpies celebrated another solid home win.

The win lifts Dorchester into fifth place and into the playoffs spots with 15 points, just three points behind league leaders AFC Totton.
