Weymouth winger Keelan O'Connell has taken a step further in his return to full match fitness this week.

O'Connell returned to the Terras squad last Saturday when he came off the bench in the 4-1 win over Sholing in the FA Cup second qualifying round.

The winger had been sidelined since picking up an ankle injury in pre-season against Eastleigh, which was then followed by a hamstring injury sustained in training in August.

O'Connell was able to get more minutes under his belt on Wednesday night as he turned out for the Terras under 23s side in their 4-0 win over Christchurch under 23s.

The Terras man also found himself on the score sheet as his return to full fitness continues.

Ezio Touray also got himself on the scoresheet in the Hampshire Combination League tie.

Both players will be hoping to be art of Mark Molesley's matchday squad when Worthing visit the Bob Lucas on Saturday afternoon.
