Wimborne Bowls Club have been crowned the 2024 winners of the Dorset County Cup Trophy.
The final was played on September 15 against Blandford Bowling Club. and was held at the neutral venue at Branksome Park.
This is now the 10th time that Wimborne Bowls Club has won the Dorset County Cup, the first being in 1922.
Wimborne, captained by Charlie Carr, put out a regular County Cup team which managed to have good lead in the early stages of the match, but Blandford came back and put Wimborne under pressure and lead by one shot overall.
But on the very last end, two Wimborne rinks scored five shots each which gave them the match, with Wimborne finally winning by nine shots.
Peter Eldrett, publicity officer for Wimborne Bowls Club, said: "Congratulations must also go to Blandford, who had three under 25s playing, for getting to the final and for making it such an exciting match.
"A big thank you must go to Branksome Park by hosting the teams and providing refreshments for players and spectators alike and making sure everything went smoothly.
"Wimborne Bowls Club is now looking forward to next year to defend their trophy."
