Portland United managers Shaun Bessant and Josh Hickman are 'loving' their new roles at the club following the 3-2 win over Laverstock.
The Blues latest win against Laverstock was one that Hickman said he was 'proud' of after his team held off a late surge from the home side.
Goals from Greg Borthwick (2) and Pat jenkins were enough to keep the home side at bay as Laverstock scored twice late on.
However, Portland recorded two wins from three games under their new bosses and remain unbeaten under the new regime.
Hickman was especially pleased with the team's performance against Laverstock at the weekend.
Speaking after the game, he said: "I was extremely pleased with the game.
"We had to show a bit of everything, on and off the ball.
"it was never going to be an easy game, if you look at Laverstock's home form last season it was very good, so we can be proud of the result."
When asked about if it was a nervous finish to the game after Laverstock's late goals, Hickman added: "Of course it was nervy, but we deserved to be winning.
"Their first goal came from a corner and it was scrappy, the second we could have defended better.
"When they put four upfront at the end it was nervy but I thought our lads defended superbly around the box.
With two wins from three games since they took charge of the club, the seem to new management duo at the Camp and Satherley have settled into their new roles well.
Hickman said: "We are both loving it.
"It is mine and Shaun's first management role and Gary Bailey (vice-chairman) and Crit Clarke (first team coach) have given us massive support, and the lads have been great.
"It is a tough challenge but one that we are thoroughly enjoying."
The win over Laverstock moved the club into eight place, just two points off the play offs but Hickman is not trying to think too much about where they may end this season and is more focused on making sure he gets the best out of his squad.
He continued: "As a manager, we want to win every game, but we do also need to be realistic and understand the squad we have and where we are as a club.
"Shaun and I were very much aligned with what Kyle (Critchell) and jamie (Symes) were doing before they left.
"We want to improve the young lads we have and whilst we will always strive to finish as high as possible we are also just going to enjoy the ride."
