WEYMOUTH will face Winchester City away in the next round of the FA Cup.

The Terras earned their place in the third qualifying round of the cup after a comfortable 4-1 win over Southern League outfit Sholing FC.

Mark Molesley's side have now learned who they will face after Winchester overcoming Hungerford 1-0 in a replay on Tuesday evening.

The draw was made on Monday and games for the third qualifying round will take place  in a couple of weeks.

Despite facing lower league opposition, Molesley has said it will be a 'similar' tie to the game against Sholing and expects another difficult game.

Weymouth have not reached the first round proper since 2022 when they were defeated by Football League side AFC WImbledon in a replay at Plough Lane.

In 2007 Weymouth reached the second round of the competition but lost to Cambridge United.

Kick off for the FA Cup third qualifying round will be at 3pm at The Simplyhealth City Ground on Saturday, September 28.
