The South West Dorset Netball League got back underway last week with the winter league starting up again.

In the Premier Division, New Body Fitness beat Warmer House Improvements A 35-31with both teams hungry for a win in this hotly contested game.

New Body showed great team work, although Warmer’s GK Lauren Banks made some exceptional decisions in defence to keep her team in the lead.

The game pace quickened with good communication from the centre court players and a game well fought with New Body taking the win

Wagamama's were defeated 52-18 by Belle Construction in what was a face paced game.

Wagamama's strong attack kept Belle’s experienced defence busy early on, with both teams playing a tactical game.

Belle settled well into the game and started to pull ahead with great play between their shooters and proved the stronger team on court on the night.

Elsewhere in the Premier Division Buglers won 33-27 over Gungho Wildcats and The Veterans Hub were victorious 31-16 against McCarthy Stone.

In Division One Coastal Cheese beat Joe Newton Electrica 53-39, Evolve Tuning came out on top against Team Waikiki 31-25, First Fit Windows won 40-32 over Artifex Krakens and WJNC Warriors beat 27-18.

Division Two's Marlboro and Artifex Caylpso played out 25-25 draw with both team's making some great interceptions, although Marlboro’s shooters were accurate and Calypso fought back with both teams were neck and neck.

Elsewhere in Division Two, Warmer Home Improvements B came just short of victory over WJNC Waves, who won 35-27.

Both teams started strong in this the first match of the winter season with  Warmer’s goal shooter Sam Rees making a great shot from the edge of the circle.

Waves kept up their defence though and great shooting to take an early lead.

Some nice centre court work by Waves resulted in them extending their lead, although Warmer fought back and at one point went ahead.  Both teams fighting hard.

But Waves came back strong and despite Warmer’s strong defence it was Waves that took the win.

Kooky Bloom comfortably won 68-7 over Dream Digital and The Waterloo beat Artifex Sirens in the other two games in Division Two.
