DORCHESTER 3

AFC TOTTON 2

DORCHESTER came from behind to sink AFC Totton to their first league defeat of the season in the Southern League Premier.

Two goals in three minutes from Olaf Koszela turned the game on its head after former Premier League striker Charlie Austin opened the scoring for the visitors.

Wayne Robinson then added a third before Scott Rendell pulled one back deep into added time.

Dorchester made three changes from last weekend's 4-0 win over Frome as Gerard Benfield returned in goal, whilst Wayne Robinson and Matt Buse also started.

Killick's side started well creating several chances early on and were the dominant side in the opening 30 minutes.

Chances fell to Robinson and Luke Pardoe but Stags keeper Josh Gould was on hand to deny the Magpies an opening goal.

Dorchester were creating plenty of chances with Gould forced into making another save at his front post soon after.

Totton grew into the game after half an hour and started to venture forward.

Joe Oastler fired over from the edge of the box before Blair then played in Lee, but under pressure the former Dolphin could not find the target.

It was former Southampton and Queens Park Rangers striker Austin who would open the scoring though in the 38th minute.

Blair’s corner, landed at the feet of the former Premier League striker who wrong footed Benfield before coolly side footing into the net.

The Magpies will have felt disappointed as the teams headed in for the break after creating plenty of chances and limiting Totton to very few, but it was the away side who led at half time.

Ten minutes after the restart Killick's side would pull level thanks to a penalty from Koszela, which after the Magpies first half performance was deserved.

Just moments later the Magpies had turned the game around and lead thanks to Koszela's second of the afternoon.

A long ball forward into the channel was touched back to the Magpies forward who finished neatly into the far bottom corner.

Dorchester then made it 3-1 thanks to Robinson who grabbed his second goal in as many games after racing through from the halfway line.

Totton should have made it 3-2 in the 73rd minute but Austin, through on goal, dragged his shot wide.

As the game entered eight minutes of added time the away side managed to pull one back as Rendell headed home from a  Marcus Daws cross.

The Stags left it too late though and Killick's side took all three points and made it back-to-back wins at The Avenue.
