DORCHESTER Town host AFC Totton and their wealth of attacking players in the Southern League later today (September 14).

Magpies boss Tom Killick has praised today's opposition calling them an 'impressive outfit' and has admired the strength in depth they have in attack.

Former Premier League star Charlie Austin will visit the Avenue alongside former Poole Town man Tony Lee, with two former Magpies in Tom Blair and Marcus Daws also in the squad in a terrifying attacking line up for the visitors.

The Stags remain unbeaten so far in the league having won five and drawn two of their seven games so far and have emerged as the early front runner this season.

However, despite coming up against the league leaders, Killick is calling on his side to 'show up' if their ambitions of fighting for the top spots this season are to come to fruition.

He said: "I went to watch them on Tuesday and they are a hugely impressive outfit with a good squad of players and an attacking armoury which is the envy of the league.

"We are under no illusions with the size of the task but we can take confidence from last week's performance and if we play at that level we can get a result.

"We are obviously looking to compete with the teams at the top and by winning last Saturday we are closer but more is needed.

"Totton have clear ambitions but so do we, so we need to shop up against these sides to get to where we want to be."

The Magpies coach may know the threat of the Stags striker's, having worked with Austin and Lee during his time with Poole Town, but he is also confident his own attacking lineup is strong after Olaf Koszela, Shaq Gwengwe and Wayne Robinson all scored last weekend.

He added: "We have a big belief in Shaq and Olaf played well again and can play in different positions.

"Wayne was unlucky not to start last weekend, so we have good attacking options as well."

Dorchester will be looking to build on their impressive 4-0 win over Frome last weekend and give the home fans another reason to cheer come kick off later today, although two key players are set to miss out.

Killick will be without captain Jordan Nglao and midfielder Wees Fogden is also a 'slight doubt' for the game at The Avenue.

Harry Redknapp Jnr has also undergone surgery on his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) this week after getting injured in a pre-season and will remain sidelined for the remainder of the season.

Kickoff at The Avenue is at 3pm on Saturday, September 14.
