Dorchester Town manager Tom Killick has said Jordan Nglao's three game ban is an 'injustice' after the club decided they would not appeal it.

The Magpies skipper was sent for an early bath in the club's 4-0 win over Frome last weekend after an incident involving the Somerset-based club's Alex Monks.

After the game, Killick said the club 'hoped' to appeal the decision but Ngalo will now miss games against AFC Totton, Gosport Borough and Chertsey Town after the club opted to not appeal the decision.

Despite believing the referee had made a mistake, the video footage was not 'clear enough' according to Killick, and for fear of a lengthier ban being handed out, the club will now be without their skipper for three games over a seven day period.

Killick said: "No, we are not able to appeal, the footage was not clear enough and the FA have set the bar high for a clear and obvious mistake.

"The difficulty is the FA is not keen on overturning red cards as they will normally back the referee, and when dealing with the FA  we need to tread carefully as they can also increase a ban on the appeal, so we have reluctantly not pursued it.

"It is an injustice and now we are without Jordan for three games.

When asked about how Ngalo's absence will affect the team in the coming games, Killick added: "You look at playing Totton this weekend and you need your best players like Jordan, but there are others in the squad who can step in and we just have to move on."
