Dorchester Sports ran out convincing winners in their Dorset Premier League Cup tie with local rivals Balti Sports at The Avenue.
Ashley James' side were looking to bounce back after two poor results in the league, whilst Balti were hoping to right the demons of their 6-0 thumping to Hamworthy Recreation Reserves at the weekend.
Goals from Toby Kelly (2), Alex Godfrey (2) and a debut goal from former Terras defender Sam Poole meant Dorchester went through to the next round though.
There were also injuries to both sides with Dorchester's Kelly and Derek Wall both forced off before the break.
Balti keeper Theo Sadeghi was also injured before half time, and Charlie Mussenden added to his tally for the season with a second half consolation goal.
Speaking after the game, James said: ""It was nice to get back scoring but we are disappointed at not keeping a clean sheet and with the injuries before half time.
"But, we are happy and through to the next next round and that will give us confidence going into Saturday."
When asked about if they can win the tournament, James added: "Two years ago we got to the semi finals and this year we want to go all the way to the final, which would be amazing."
