Weymouth & Portland will be looking for back-to-back wins in their Counties Two match against North Dorset seconds on Saturday (September 14).

Last timeout the Seahorses secured a comfortable win over local rivals Bridport after five second half tries saw the club run out 38-3 winners.

Having dropped down from Counties One last season, Rich Bament's side will be hoping they can bounce straight back up, but they will be tested against what is to expected to be a strong team in North Dorset.

The Gillingham-based club will also be looking to to bounce back after defeat to last year's champions Lytchett Minster in their opening day fixture.

Lytchett missed out on promotion to Counties One after losing a playoff with Chippenham seconds at the end of last season.

Speaking ahead of the game at Monmouth Avenue, Bament said: "It will be another tough one.

"North Dorset are a tough nut to crack and they have recruited well for the seniors over the summer and it is never an easy game.

"We are playing at home again so can enjoy that and we are doing everything we can to prepare and improve.

"I always say there is room for improvement but it was good to get our first win last weekend and we are looking forward to the game against North Dorset."

The Seahorses have a 'clean bill of health' after the opening day win over the Daggers with all the players coming through the poor conditions well in the opening fixture of the campaign.

However, there are two players who will miss the game with Ryan Lewendon unavailable for the tie and Luke Beynon remains sidelined with a dislocated shoulder, although Bament hopes to see him back him back soon.

Fly half Lewis Allan does return though, with the number returning from working over seas and could replace Lewnedon in the back row.
