Summer cruising is not quite over for Weymouth and Portland Cruising Association members,

Although boats are returning to Weymouth after various cruises to France, the Channel Islands, the West Country and the Solent, there are still some cruises left before the season ends.

At the end of August L’Entropist enjoyed three sunny and warm days in Beaulieu while Elemental made a short trip across the Channel, whilst La Sorciere returned from Guernsey after their cruise. Zephyros is also back in Weymouth after a summer cruising.

Boats are now preparing for the final cruise of the year going east with a stop in Poole and, for some, continuing on to the Solent to visit the Southampton Boat Show.

For those wanting a day cruise in company, the final trip will be next Wednesday (September September 11, and anyone wishing to take part should contact Club President, Tess Reid.

Further afield club member, Martin Figg, has joined the yacht, Walrus, a 39ft Hallberg Rassy, in Corsica to sail to Gibraltar, hoping for sunshine and good winds while Alison and Chris Forrest are working their way up the west coast of Italy in their yacht Muskrat.
