Dorchester Bowls club hosted its annual finals day last weekend.

The championship singles matches saw Nick Voss defeat Ryan Nash whilst Karen Ellis won against Val Wright. 

Ellis also beat Wright in the Two Wood Ladies Singles, along with a win over Isobel Calway in the Sets Singles.

Shirley Bowley won the Veterans Singles and also became Ladies Handicap Champion when Barbara Wilkin withdrew for medical reasons.

Wilkin’s absence meant Linda Hill and Margaret Cullip won in the Ladies Pairs.

Hill and Cullip, joined by Teresa Jeanes also won in the Ladies Triples and Cullip, joined by Graham Cockett won in the Ladies Invitation Pairs.

In the Men’s singles, James Rowe won the Two-Wood, the Men's Handicap, and partnered by George Aslett, the Open Australian Pairs.

Bill Ford became Men’s Sets champion and Veteran's champion

Harry Hovenden and Cockett claimed the men’s pairs and in the triples, the pair were joined by by Jim Lennon but lost to Richard Smith, Geoff Ellis and Malcolm Rendell.

In the indoor singles, Jim Trim won the Open Summer and Stuart Sibley won the Open Novice.

The pairs saw wins for Hazel Ryan and Tim Lamb in the Open Drawn Pairs whilst Lee Ford and Mike Brown won the Open Novice Pairs.
