Dorchester Sports finally lost their 100 per cent start to the new season after a heavy defeat at the hands of Bournemouth Sports who regained top spot.

A brace from James Bergin along with goals from Sam Darlow and Taylor Webb confounded Dorchester to their first defeat of the season.

Bournemouth Sports are now the only side to have not been beaten this season after the 4-1 on Saturday ( August 31).

The visitors to The Avenue did not take long to put themselves in front as they took the lead after ten minutes.

A pass from Tom Beckett was picked up by Darlow on the left wing with the striker  firing in a low cross into the box which was tapped in by Webb.

Bournemouth's Jamie Trimble almost doubled the away sides lead five minutes later when Darlow slipped in the midfielder, but he was denied by Alex Barker in the Dorchester goal.

Alex Godfrey pulled Ashley James' side level just after 20 minutes after finishing from close range, but Dorchester would go into the break behind as Bergin finished well from a tight angle.

Bournemouth dominated the second half with the visitors controlling possession throughout the half.

The away side would increase their lead just after the hour mark minute when Webb chased down a ball played back to Dorchester keeper Barker.

Having closed him down, the winger won possession and pulled it back to Darlow to hit a powerful shot into the roof of the net.

With ten minutes left, Bournemouth secured the the three points when Bergin doubled his tally for the afternoon after firing home from just inside the box.

The defeat leaves Dorchester third in the table on 15 points just one point off Bournemouth who leapfrog them to top spot.
