A golf club held a Bank Holiday weekend packed full of events.
The Came Down Golf Club held the Junior Championships, 36-hole Open as well as a 100-hole dawn to dusk challenge.
Jason Emerton, the club’s junior captain, won the championship with 40 points. Reggie Fant was runner up with 38 points. Charlotte Curtis was given the Junior Academy Trophy.
Winners of the 36-hole pairing were the father and son duo of Tony and Luke Sanderson from Parkstone and Epsom respectively with 79 points. Second place was taken by the Came pairing of Alan Stickley and Steve Savage, with 76 on count back from Dan Burleigh and Charlie Lake.
Came Down member Ross Cumber and his trusty caddy Hali, took on a gruelling 16-hour dawn to dusk golf marathon to raise money for Hali’s Borneo Expedition in 2025. Hali will be helping communities with projects that directly help them and their needs as well as taking part with environmental conservation.
