Weymouth Golf Club has hosted its annual Seniors Captain's Day tournament at its course on Links Road.
Seniors captain David Watson welcomed 108 players at the Captain’s Day competition which saw Reg Mitchell’s beat off his rivals to win the coveted Stag Trophy and a golf bag with a score of 40 points.
The Stag Trophy was donated to Weymouth Golf Club by former member Des Thomas to be played for on the Senior Captain's Day.
Originally the trophy was a fully intact stag but was too big for the trophy cabinet so the head was cut off and mounted on a plinth.
There were seven other prizes with the captain Watson being particularly pleased to see that all the prize winners remained after their round to attended the prize giving.
