Weymouth manager Mark Molesley has said 'better days' are ahead and believes the return of experienced squad members will help the team.

The Terras have been without several of their senior first team players for long periods of matches this season as they recover from injury and look to gain match sharpness.

Calvin Brooks has recently returned to the fold after a long spell on the sidelines, along with injuries to Keelan O'Connell and Brandon Goodship, as well as Andreas Robinson who has not played a lot of football over the past few seasons.

With so many experienced players not yet fully match fit, Molesley believes their return will help the team to win games going forward.

Speaking to Echosport, he said: "If we keep performing like we have, then when the more experienced players are back fit and ready to start and last games, we will have better days to come.

"We will come through the other side and ride out the stormy weather and we will get through it."

"With some of our stronger players back available we will probably be more ruthless in both boxes and all of a sudden we will be up and running."

Brooks, Goodship and Robinson all featured in the 2-0 defeat to Chippenham in midweek and Molesley stressed that despite missing several key players it is no excuse for results.

He added: "It's certainly not an excuse, it's just that at the minute we are stretched to our limits and we are trying to get the players up and running but we are not far away at all."
