Dorchester Sports ran out comfortable winners against Balti Sports in the Dorset Premier League on Tuesday night (August 13).
Ashley James' side dominated against a young Balti side with Dylan Ellis picking up the match ball with a superb second half hattrick at The Avenue.
Goals from Derek Wall and Alex Godfrey had put Dorchester in front at the break before Ellis' secured the three points with an impressive man of the match performance.
The midfielder has stared the season well having now scored assisted in both of Dorchester's first two games.
Dorchester found themselves on the scoresheet through former Balti striker Wall in the opening five minutes.
Ellis had played the forward on who rounded the Balti keeper to slot home.
Around 15 minutes in and Dorchester came close with two efforts, one from Jamie Rawlings and one from Alex Godfrey, but both were well saved by Balti's keeper.
Ethan Clark came close for Balti but saw his effort go over the bar and didn't trouble Nick Hutchings in goal.
Joel Hewitt then came close twice in quick succession after watching a shot come crashing back off the bar before moments later seeing a second attempt saved.
Dorchester would then double there lead in the 37th minute after Hewitt squared the ball across the six yard box for Alex Godfrey to finish.
The second half became the Ellis show as the midfielder stepped into the shoes of last season's goal scoring midfielder maestro Owen Peart.
Ellis' first goal came ten minutes after the break when he finished well from the edge of the box after latching on to a cross from Josh Leake.
Ten minutes later Dorchester's number 11 doubled his tally with a wonderfully taken free kick from the left corner of the box which found its way neatly into the far bottom corner.
Balti had a few chances of their own in the second but efforts from Tyler Hoff and Henri Cox were well saved by Hutchings, however, Balti were finding some space in behind Dorchester's defence.
But at 4-0 the points were only going to Dorchester and Ellis finished off the scoring in the 78th minute with another fine shot from from the edge of the box which again found the bottom corner.
