Portland take on Sherborne later today at the Camp and Satherley in a 7.45pm kick-off.

After tasting defeat to Hamworthy Recreation in the FA Cup and being sucker-punched on Saturday as Blackfield & Langley equalised deep into stoppage time, Kyle Criitchell's young Blues prepare to take on Sherborne.

The first few games of the season has not gone quite according to plan for the Blues coach, but he remains confident of getting all three points in tonight's game.

Speaking to Echosport, he said: "I think it's a game that will be physical and it will have a bit of an edge to it with Sherborne being one of the closer teams to us, a bit of a derby game.

"If we can perform like we did in the first 86 minutes of the Blackfield game then we will be fine and we can come away with all three points."

The Blues had looked all set to win their first league game of the season after Greg Borthwick and George Stuttle had put the side into a commanding 2-0 lead.

However, despite being 'distraught' and 'angry' following the draw on Saturday, Critchell believes it can be used as an opportunity for the team to learn.

He added: "Atthe end of the game I was distraught we did not deserve that.

"It's a learning experience, yes I was angry after the game, but my point to the team was that moments like this will make us better, but we have to win games and pick up points in the hear and now."

In terms of team news for tonight's game, Josh Camp returns to the squad but Connor Callow, Joe Wickham, Crit Clarke and Pat Jenkins are all still unavailable.

Kick-off at the Camp and Satherley is at 7.45pm
