Dorchester Sports visit Poole Borough in the Dorset Premier League today (3pm) with a few new faces set to start.
Sports travel to Turlin Moor Recreation Ground where manager Ashley James is targeting three points after back-to-back wins in pre-season.
The Dorchester-based club will also be welcoming several new faces to their starting line up when they travel to Poole later today.
Speaking to Echosport, James said: "Pre-season has been okay. It started with two losses to higher opposition, but they were good fitness tests and then we won three games which leaves us in good form.
"We drew last season 2-2 when we visited them and they have a good striker in Conor Jevon who caused us trouble.
"It will be a tough opener but we are confident we can start well."
James confirmed that new striker Derek Wall will start and was 'glad to get him' from rivals, Balti Sports, whilst new centre back Jack Bennett joins from lower league Parton and will also make his competitive debut.
Defender Brandon Heal and midfielder James Rawlings will also start after returning to the side after a couple of years away from the club.
The Dorchester side will be missing a key player though in Owen Peart. The midfielder will be out for six weeks with an injury James admitted was 'a big blow'.
He added: "The games come thick and fast in August, it couldn't have happened at a worse time for him but he will come back stronger."
