It is all change at Balti Sports as the new Dorset Premier League gets underway.
Balti take on Hamworthy United Reserves at the Dorset County Ground today (3pm) and it will be the first time in nearly two decades that Marco Nott will not take charge of the team.
As reported, in the summer former Bridport management duo John Godbold and Rob Marquis became joint-managers, taking over responsibilities on the pitch.
Now on the eve of the league season getting underway, Nott is looking forward to watching the new squad get going in his role as chairman.
Speaking to Echosport, he said: "It's all change at Balti after 19 years and there is a new management team in place with lots of new players and a very good young squad.
"We had a steady pre-season and it all came together nicely and the players have gelled well together.
"Not all of the players have played in the Dorset Premier League, so we have to be on it, but the managers have lots of experience.
"Hamworthy will be tough but we have just got and attack it."
There ae only around five players remaining from last year's squad with many new faces coming into the club.
But the Balti chairman is confident the new management team can take the club forward.
He added: "Rob knows the players well and it will be interesting to see how it goes and Jon has good experience coaching.
"There has been a big overhaul of players since last season and now I can let them get on with it, and I am looking forward to seeing what happens next."
