More than 70 people turned up to play and watch bowls at an annual tournament in Dorchester.
Dorchester Bowls Club’s annual Presidents Day competition saw teams compete for the Colver Trophy, a long standing event played by mixed teams only.
The outdoor tournament was won by Sandra Hubbard, John Burton Linda Hill and Margaret Cullip who took home the coveted trophy as they battled against nine other teams.
For the indoor competition on the day, there was a Challenge match between Barry Hubbard’s Chairman's Team and Bryan Tuckers President’s Team, with the Presidents team winning a close encounter.
A spokesperson for Dorchester Bowls Club said: "Everybody enjoyed an afternoon of friendly, yet competitive bowling played both indoors and outdoors on a very pleasant summer’s day.
"The bowls was followed by a cream tea - kindly sponsored by Poundbury Wealth Management - and a fund-raising raffle.
"The club are also indebted to Dorchester Timber who sponsored the indoor games.
"The main purpose of the President’s Day is to raise funds for the President’s chosen charity.
President Bryan Tucker has chosen the Stand Up To Cancer fundraising campaign as this year’s beneficiary and Bryan was delighted with the £425 raised on the day for this charity which took the total funds raised by club since March over £1,000 mark."
